All the dogs in our program must be current on all vaccinations and they all see a veterinarian before going to a foster home or into a boarding situation. We vaccinate for Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella. We have the veterinarian do a fecal and heartworm check, have the dog spayed or neutered (if it isn't already) and place a microchip in the dog. Some dogs require boarding until they get into a home. And in some cases, food is supplied to foster homes until the dog is adopted. The cost of care can be very expensive and sometimes the adoption fee is not enough.
