Lovely Bella I. was dumped in the country near Des Moines, Iowa in late January. Many people saw her but could not get near since she was very scared. A week later she was spotted again but now she was severely emaciated and had a leg injury. A veterinarian found that she had been shot and had birdshot in her hind end, tail and ears. She had a small fracture in her tibula. The family that rescued her says she loves kids and dogs but not cats. She is crate trained, knows basic commands, and loves to walk on leash. The broken tibiula is healing. It may take another two to six weeks for it to heal completely.
